Acting on AIDS - World Vision
Do something "un-conventional"
You are invited to take part in something historic! World Vision and the One Campaign have united to do something "un-conventional" at the upcoming Democratic and Republican National Conventions. We will build 4,000 Caregiver Kits for people who care for those living with AIDS. Regardless of your political affiliation, if you find yourselves in Denver or Minneapolis around the conventions, we invite you to get involved! It's FREE, but space is limited. Read more.
Check out Acting on AIDS 2008-09 calendar
We’ve mapped out key dates to note throughout the academic year. Write these down and check back regularly, as things may be adjusted as time passes. We encourage you to take special note of events this fall as well as the second annual Acting on AIDS Summit on the Hill in April 2009. Keep an eye on our Web site. More information is coming soon! Also, let us know what your campus is planning! See the entire calendar.
Don't forget! September 15 is the deadline to order supplies for national Broken Bread, Oct. 16!
Join us on October 1 for the Day of Prayer and Advocacy
For the rest of the country, the New Year begins on January 1, but for the U.S. government, the new fiscal year starts October 1. On this day, each World Vision office around the world stops all daily operations for a day of prayer. This year, we invite you to join in this day of prayer and advocate to God on behalf of a world that needs prayer. We also invite you and your fellow students to commit to pray with us throughout the year. Learn more.
